I simply couldn't

I don't understand why Kim took on this new client. I know that defense lawyers have the choice to defend anyone they want, that our office deals with criminals having serious accusations, but still to defend a pedophile! I simply couldn't defend that sort of person. Kim is angry with me because of my opinion and I don't want to be on the wrong side of a colleague. Thus I'll talk to her and apologize, but I won't change my mind.
